Thank you to all of you who voted for the new court colours in the first round; we had over 100 votes!

We now have a short-list of three colour-schemes, based on the results of that vote and encourage you all (adult and junior members alike) to place your vote now.  This is something we will have for a number of years, and everyone's opinion is equally important.

The short list is as follows, and the link to vote is below the images:

Blue-Green / Green-Blue


Pink-Blue / Blue-Pink


Purple-Green / Green-Purple


The voting on this short-list will be the final opportunity to have your say on the colour scheme.  So, what are you waiting for?!  Voting closes on Sunday (9th August).

WTC Finals Weekend - Our Champions

     WTC Tournament Finals Weekend! - Our Champions!   Last weekend, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September, we held our tournament finals weekend. It was a great success although it was a very hot weekend! Please read below for the results.  Saturday Red Ball First up on court was Mia Solyanyk vs Sasha Archipova. Congratulations to Mia! It was a first to 10 points. The score ended up being 17-15 to Mia.   Orange Ball  Lucas Walsh vs Mia Solyanyk. Congratulations to Mia again! This time it was a best of 3 sets, first to 10 points. Mia won 10-7, 4-10, 10-8. Great  battles on both junior matches! Sunday  Men's  over 45's Singles First up on court was Paul Diamond vs Nick Hoffman. A rematch from last year's final! However the very hot conditions were extremely difficult to play in and Paul conceded the match after playing one set. Nick Hoffman won the first set 6 - 4 and then the match. WTC Christmas 2023

      It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  The icy weather is upon us so please be very careful and only play when the conditions are ok.  Please read below for a few updates and upcoming events.  Pat Parish Adult Charity Tournament! Huge well done to all that took part in the annual Pat Parish Charity Tournament!  Congratulations to Jon and Amelia for winning the rounds and then the final against Rebecca and Cody.   The tournament raised £280! Amelia has chosen The Hopefield Animal Sanctuary and Jon would like to support The National Autistic Society. Thank you very much to Vic for organising it all. We look forward to seeing you back in the tournament next time :)  Christmas Team Training One for the adult doubles squads who play in the fixtures.  Some Fast 4 Tennis followed by a few festive drinkies!  Christmas Sunday Social! Writtle Tennis Club Court Project Has Started!

The courts at WTC - a before shot! A bit of background… WTC has been on a very successful path of improvement and growth, over the last few years. With an effective partnership with Writtle Tennis Academy, we have developed a successful programme, committed to growing our club and promoting the sport of Tennis.  ·         In January 2016 we had a total of 42 members  ·         In January 2018 we had grown to 110 members. 58 juniors and 52 adults               ·         In November 2018 we had grown to 164 members. 88 juniors and 76 adults   ·         In July 2020 we have nearly 200 members   Our mission is to grow tennis by making it relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable.   Anyone can play; whatever their motivation or ability, from all communities and backgrounds. At any age and for a whole lifetime, tennis provides physical, social and mental rewards both on and off the court.   We want tennis to be open to as many people as possible.  WTC are here to help
